Event Registration

Event Registration, when used in conjunction with the BizActions email newsletter and/or Email Radar, provides you with the necessary tools to create, promote, manage and track upcoming events. Use Event Registration for any event for which you need to know who or how many: onsite seminars, online webinars, training classes, fund raisers, holiday parties, open houses or any other event.

The Event Registration system is very easy to use, is accessible from your Sponsor Center and may be integrated with your website in order to capture new prospects' data and registrations. Event Registration includes an unlimited number of events and registrations. Here is the basic process:

  1. Create an event and establish a unique identifier (this identifier will be used in all links to an Event form, which is housed on the BizActions servers)
  2. Create a registration form and determine which data you want to capture (including which are mandatory and which are optional – see sample form here)
  3. Set the registration details, such as registration closing date, maximum number of attendees, fees, etc.
  4. Market your event within your BizActions newsletters or Email Radar and post the special link provided by the system on your website to collect registrations from those who are not already in your database (they will be automatically added to your membership database so that you may continue to nurture them with your email newsletter)
  5. After each registration form has been filled out, an email is automatically sent to the registrant with a thank you and instructions (you may design the automatic message in the Event Registration module)
  6. Create groups of the registered members (for each event) and send as many reminders as you want using Email Radar
  7. Use the event Group to send out personalized thank you Email Radars to attendees, and include any additional information that they may be interested in, including special offers, handouts, more details about a particular service, etc.

For example, let's say you are a CPA firm planning a QuickBooks seminar to be held next month at your office. It will be an all-day affair with a catered lunch. You would like to host 20 of your existing clients that currently use QuickBooks as well as 10 QuickBooks prospects, in hopes of garnering their business. You need to know who will attend in advance to determine what size room you will need to set up, the materials you will need to prepare and the number of lunches to purchase. In the past, scheduling an event like this would have required a vast number of phone calls, mailings and emails -- all of which take up more time than you have; and, in the case of direct mail, is typically too little, too late.
