Barry R. Friedman, CPA
CEO & Co-Founder

As co-founder and CEO of BizActions, Barry Friedman is responsible for new product development, client support, financial management and alliance opportunities. Mr. Friedman is a seasoned manager and executive, with a proven history of founding and building successful businesses.

Before founding BizActions, he was the co-founder and president of GovCon a vertical-specific trading community for government employees and contractors. Mr. Friedman built GovCon into a profitable company with thousands of customers, before it was sold to VerticalNet, now VertMarkets.

Prior to founding GovCon, Mr. Friedman was a managing partner for 35 years at Friedman & Fuller, PC. Eventually the business was sold to American Express; where he managed a regional network of accounting firms.

Mr. Friedman's areas of expertise include business development, management and software development. He is the co-author of All About Earnings: 100 Ways to Profit in the New Economy and a frequent speaker at industry events.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Mr. Friedman holds a masters in business administration from Loyola College. He lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and daughter Katie.
