Dick Sipes understands code

There is an art to working with regulators, licensing, codes, deadlines, unusual bid requests and other construction issues. It may seem that the construction industry doesn’t need finesse – after all, this is very tangible stuff.  But understanding the intangibles is what separates successful businesses from those that never quite measure up.  This is something Dick Sipes understands.

In his early career, Dick developed his skills working with a national CPA firm and then moved into the construction industry where he came to understand the contractor’s point of view.  As an advisor to the industry, Dick uses all his experience as an insider and his judgment as an advisor to help his clients manage the tangibles and the intangibles.  His clients have long appreciated his approach. Dick also applies his insight in his work for clients in light manufacturing, engineering and other related fields.

Dick has practiced as a CPA for more than thirty years.  He joined DMLO in the early years of this firm in 1978 and he has been part of the growth and values of DMLO ever since.  Dick is a Director (partner) in the firm.

Outside work, Dick enjoys golf, family and vacations.  He is married and has two children and four grandchildren.
