Jerry Hurt makes excellence look easy

When people first meet Jerry Hurt, they quickly feel comfortable with his easy-going approach and friendly smile.  Folks like his ability to keep a positive outlook in every situation.  Long-time clients and co-workers are familiar with the easy-going Jerry, but they have learned that hidden in his low-key approach lies an absolute commitment to personal and professional excellence.  Jerry just makes excellence look easy.

Jerry has practiced in public accounting for more than thirty years and with DMLO for the past sixteen years.  He became managing director of DMLO when Sonny Altman retired in 2002.    Since that time, Jerry has guided the firm with relaxed optimism combined with high expectations as it has continued to grow.

Even though his firm management duties have taken more and more of his time, Jerry remains committed to advising his clients on the full breadth of their businesses and therefore he keeps up to date on both tax issues and audit and accounting matters.  His clients are in construction, manufacturing, credit unions, real estate development and include professionals in medicine and other areas.  He has extensive experience in complex partnership issues and in family limited partnerships.

Jerry plays tennis as much as possible, even during tax season.  He is married and has two children.
