Karen Dunaway has stick-to-itiveness

"Stick-to-itiveness" is an officially defined word in the online version of Merriam-Webster's Dictionary.  The definition is "dogged perseverance; tenacity."  The online dictionary also provides a link to the definition of "tenacity," and herein lies an interesting twist.  "Tenacity" is also a synonym for "courage."  Maybe this is why the term "stick-to-itiveness" seems to apply so well to Karen Dunaway.  No matter what the assignment, no matter what the demands might be, Karen will see it through with "dogged perseverance," and courage.

Karen has been in public accounting for twelve years and with DMLO for more than ten.  Her area of specialization is auditing not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans, including extensive work with A-133 and HUD requirements.  Karen came to public accounting with years of experience in hospital medical records, statistics and payroll and in payroll work in a bank trust department.  She likes the public accounting profession because it continually tests her analytical skills and provides a daily challenge to be able to move smoothly from one client's system to another.  Karen is also a member of the firm's Audit and Accounting Committee.

Karen has two nearly-grown children and a large extended family.  An outdoor enthusiast, Karen has volunteered with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and still regularly helps on camping trips.  She and her family share a love for boating and water sports each summer.
