From left - Karl, Nicholas, Lisa and Matthew share a family moment. Missing from the photo is their black lab, Bruce.
| Lisa Furr's software clients who look to her for assistance can probably understand her inclination, when she was young, to become a nurse. Lisa has the necessary attributes - patience, caring, stamina and the desire to help someone in "pain" - because, at one time or another, anyone using accounting software experiences pain of some sort.
Lisa, who has more than 20 years of accounting and accounting software experience, is a member of the SN Business Solutions team. She is an Accounting Software Consultant with QuickBooks 2006 ProAdvisor certification, and has experience with a number of software packages.
Lisa, a Hanover native, is the middle child in her family. She and her husband, Karl, have two sons, Matthew, age 19 and Nicholas, age 18. In addition, Lisa mentors a 16-year-old girl through United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of PA through a program that provides mentors to children with a parent in prison. She also teaches a class of teenage girls at her church.
Instead of nurturing a collection of items, Lisa says "I like to grow things, even though I don't have much of a green thumb!" She notes she planted an acorn last year, "and now I have a small oak tree that I am going to plant outside when it gets big enough."
When she's not outdoors enjoying walking, hiking, playing volleyball, golfing, tennis and other outdoor activities, Lisa enjoys reading and usually has "a few books going at the same time." She is currently playing volleyball on a recreational team in Hanover.
Lisa and Karl, who will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year, feel a special achievement has been raising their two sons... "almost out of their teens!"
