Leave it up to a CPA to turn a budget deficit into a surplus.

M. Scott Hursh, CPA, CCIFP, Managing Partner of the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Group at Stambaugh Ness, has received a letter of appreciation from the Construction Financial Management Association's (CFMA) Finance Committee crediting his assistance with turning the Finance Committee's budgeted deficit into a surplus. He and the other members of the Finance Committee accomplished this while supporting the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP)* as directed by the organization's Executive Committee.

In addition, the committee formed an Accounting and Reporting Practices Task Force that has already begun work to improve financial reporting and strengthen the finance operation for the future.

CFMA's National Treasurer, Vickie L. Spotts, CPA, expressed her appreciation to Scott, noting that "Your time and talent is truly appreciated!"
