So you want to buy a new computer?

Check first with your technology provider, such as SN Business Solutions, to make sure updated, pre-installed software like Vista and Office 2007 is compatible with your software applications. This includes BusinessWorks, Peachtree and QuickBooks, but all older programs could also be affected, as well as I-Tunes.

While it is expected that future versions of software will be compatible with Vista, it is too soon to assume your new software will play nice with the software you already are using.

Basically, you want to be sure to look before you leap. Early adopters of new operating systems bear the brunt of all of the bugs that need to be worked out. Developers continue to work on new software after its release, and software updates or patches take care of many of the fixes that are needed - in time.
