McKonly & Asbury will present a complimentary seminar on October 1, 2007 on IRS and State Audit Preparedness.  This two hour seminar will cover individual tax examinations as well as business tax examinations and will address the following topics:



  • What is a tax examination?
  • What is the selection process?
    • Why the recent increase in examinations?
    • What "red flags" stand out on returns?
  • What does the examination entail?
    • Information requests, opportunities to supply additional information, communication with examiner, etc... 
  • What can you do to prepare for an examination?
    • Record keeping and documentation tips, etc...
