Providing the opportunity for children to play or nap in the office saved the Petrinovich Pugh & Company staff from trying to find babysitters on the weekend and allowed them to stay close to their children. "It is really a small amount of effort on the firm's part in comparison to the level of comfort it provides our staff," said Managing Partner Marc Parkinson. As a means to reduce the discomfort staff feels during the long hours of tax season, Petrinovich Pugh & Company, LLP also offered chair massage services during tax season. Massages ease the tired muscles and stress that the pressures of tax season and long hours at a computer can generate.
On Friday afternoons the firm removed all the chairs and tables from the education center and brought in play structures, mats and toys for the children. Saturday morning two or three day care helpers came in to play with and take care of the children while their parents get some work done.
