Recycling can be good business

We humans do tend to rebel at the words "This is good for you."  But, when you say "this is good for business" – now that's a different story.

Take recycling for instance.  There are several benefits to business.  Less real trash disposal.  Recycled paper in use. Slower landfill expansion. Increased morale for those who work in a company that makes the effort.

At DMLO, two of our concerned professionals recently joined together to set up a recycling system for the plastic water bottles in our office.  Though we have been recycling aluminum cans for a long time, the plastic bottles had been overlooked.  And in an intensive thinking environment, brains must be fed a lot of water!

Cyndy Holahan and Tamra Hamade decided to make a difference.  They are now collecting the bottles in the office and personally setting them out for their home recycling pick up.

Another committed staff member, Cindy McNulty, has for years taken on the responsibility to personally take all DMLO's old phone books to the recyling center!

We are proud to work with folks who will put themselves out to do good things!

If your office wants to begin recycling, and you don't have a regular pick up, you can deliver to any of a number of recycling locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana.

If you must deliver your home recycling, here is a good idea.  Set out an extra home garbage can just for recyclables.  The can stays clean enough to load in your car and the items don't clutter your house.
