There are hundreds of web-based services that offer many great, useful features for all kinds of users for free. Over the next several weeks I will be discussing several of my favorites. One of my favorite, "I can't believe it's free" web sites is GrandCentral.com.

GrandCentral.com, now owned by Google, allows you to choose a new phone number in any area code. Your new phone number can then be set up to ring one, some or all of your telephone numbers at one time to locate you. So, for example, you could have a local phone number that would automatically ring your cell, home, and office telephone numbers simultaneously. When you answer the call and determine who it is through an optional screening process, you have the option to answer the call or send it to voicemail. The designers were even clever enough to allow you to specify to not ring your home number during normal work hours since you're probably not there.

Let's say you relocated from another city or state. You could choose a phone number in that city that would ring your current telephone numbers in your current city. That way your friends and family could call you for FREE and it costs you nothing as well!

GrandCentral.com offers several bonus features such as voice mail, record calls, personalized greetings by caller, and more.

Currently GrandCentral.com is in private beta, which means you can request to be placed on a waiting list at their web site. As well, there are many sites such as inviteshare.com that allows users to share invitations with others. However, if you would like a chance to try GrandCentral.com right away, please fill out the comments section below. In the "comment section" please state that you would like to be entered into our random drawing for a free GrandCentral.com invitation and include your email address. The winner will receive an invitation from GrandCentral.com.

There are many awesome web-based services that are available for free or a very low cost. These services can be beneficial to evaluate for yourself and for your business. GrandCentral.com is worthy of a very close look.
