DMLO's Day at the Races




Every once in a while, it's just good to spend time with your co-workers in a relaxed atmosphere, when the time clock isn't ticking and deadlines aren't looming. It's amazing what can be learned about fellow staffers when there is actually time to chat and have fun!





On Wednesday, November 7, DMLO filled a large corner of the Churchill Downs Turf Club to share a buffet lunch and an afternoon of races. In prior years we have enjoyed a Bats game, picnics in Shelby County and a cruise on the CQ Princess. Everyone currently on staff at DMLO was invited, and this year we invited alumni who we are proud to count as continuing friends and business associates. 




















At mid-afternoon, the 5th Race was sponsored by DMLO. 








A group of DMLO staff were chosen at random to be the firm's representatives in the official duties for the race.  They were given a personal tour by a Churchill Downs representative, they viewed the race from a select vantage point, and they presented the trophy to the winning jockey and owner.  It was a very special part of the afternoon.








Of course, one cannot forget the extensive efforts (and some collaboration) to turn non-work time into profitable time. A great time was had by all!
