Prochi Sheth, CPA
Prochi is a Partner in the Audit & Accounting Services Department and is based out of our Fort Lauderdale office. With fifteen years of experience in public accounting, her responsibilities include advising and auditing publicly-held companies and private clients and providing due diligence services for mergers and acquisitions. Prochi's primary focus is on the construction, biotech, technology and distribution industries with revenues between $5 million and $100 million.
Prochi has extensively researched the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and has established herself as a local leader in the SEC arena. She has provided seminars and prepared special presentations on disclosure and internal controls for clients, community-based business owners and accounting professionals. Additionally, Prochi has published an article on how private companies can benefit from implementing the same improved internal controls that public companies are required to initiate.
Prior to joining the firm in 1998, Prochi worked as a senior accountant for a local CPA firm where she performed audits, reviews and compilations and provided tax and accounting services to both corporate and individual clients.
Prochi holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor in Accounting and Financial Management degree as well as a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Bombay, India.
A Florida- and Georgia-certified CPA, she is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Prochi has served as the President of the Atlantic Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a member of the Board of Directors for that chapter. She also serves on the FICPA's Board of Governors as a Regional Representative for four chapters.
Prochi is involved in the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers through her position on the Board of Directors, and as Treasurer, Executive Committee member and Finance Committee member. For the past several years, she has also sponsored the education of a deaf child at the Helen Keller Institute in Bombay.
