Stevens Pierce & Associates, CPAs policy is to follow the same sunsetting policy as Intuit. So if you use an 2005 or an older version, we would need to come to your location to make any adjustments to the books.
Information from QuickBooks.com QuickBooks Sunset Policy
In an ongoing effort to provide reliable high-quality products and services, Intuit periodically "Sunsets" (also known as retiring) older versions of its QuickBooks products, thereby discontinuing live support* and business services for those versions. Under this policy, the most current version of QuickBooks, plus the prior two versions, will be supported, subject to certain exceptions. Sunsetting older versions of QuickBooks allows us to focus resources on enhancing our products and providing support for more current versions, which are used by the vast majority of QuickBooks customers. The result: a better customer experience for millions of QuickBooks users.
If you are currently using a Sunset version of QuickBooks products but want to continue receiving live technical support you will need to install and register a supported version of the QuickBooks software.
Replacement CDs, diskettes, and manuals will no longer be available for Sunset versions of QuickBooks. Intuit provides customer support regarding registration and keycode data for Sunset versions of QuickBooks under Intuit's standard terms and conditions, if that data is available. However, Intuit cannot assure that it will be able to register, provide keycodes, or offer data and password recovery for Sunset versions of QuickBooks. For these reasons, we strongly recommend that customers use supported versions of the software.
