Information Security Management will affect business organizations' IT strategy, investments and implementation during this year, according to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). The AICPA recently issued its 19th Annual Top Ten Technology Initiatives survey. The entire list includes:
- Information security management
- IT governance
- Business continuity management and disaster recovery planning
- Privacy management
- Business process improvement, workflow, and process exceptions alerts
- Identity and access management
- Conforming to assurance and compliance
- Business Intelligence
- Mobile and remote computing
- Document, forms, content, and knowledge management
The market's renewed emphasis on corporate governance and responsibility is reflected by the move of IT Governance from sixth to second place, according to the AICPA.
The survey was conducted in the fall of 2007. Detailed information about the survey can be found online.
