Kenneth E. Saxe MCSE, MCSA, MCP, CNE | Ten years ago, the shareholders of Stambaugh Ness P.C. envisioned expanding their services to clients into the area of professional information technology services. Little could they imagine the impact that Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions would have on the businesses and organizations of south central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.
Chief Operating and Information Officer Steve Hake, CPA notes "At the time, it seemed a technology affiliate would be a natural extension of our core services, and we expected the effort to be successful. However," he adds, "the continual evolvement of technology in business and its integral part in our daily lives has increased the breadth and depth of Business Solutions offerings in ways we didn't fully expect. We have become adept at keeping ahead of the curve, and we are proud we can provide services that can help keep our clients ahead of their customers' expectations."
In 1997, Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions was formed, and Chip Hayden was hired and appointed Director of IT Services. Shortly thereafter, Kenneth Saxe was brought on board to provide technical consulting and support services.
Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions quickly expanded its service offerings beyond only entry level accounting software services to higher-end accounting systems, complex technology implementation and network integration.
| Asked, "What is a typical project?" Ken responds, "There really is no such thing. Each technology project our team works on is unique. It has its own opportunities and challenges regardless if it's a company with five employees or five hundred." |
Through the next several years, Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions' client base grew, and the SNBS team was expanded to meet the demand for services. Chris Coulson was hired as a network and technology consultant. Lisa Furr and Adam Cusumano were brought on board to develop the Deltek, Sage BusinessWorks and QuickBooks accounting software service offerings. Also, Steve Arnold was added to provide database and report development capabilities.
Over the last ten years, Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions has worked with hundreds of clients, implemented thousands of computer systems, and responded to thousands of support calls and emails. According to Ken Saxe, their Senior Technical Consultant, "There is a real sense of accomplishment each and every day being able to assist people in solving problems. We're able to help them be more productive and maybe in a small way, help their company's bottom line."
Chip Hayden is very proud of the team of professionals that make up Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions. Chip stated, "Our team goes the extra mile for our clients. The feedback I receive about the services our team members provide is consistently high."
Chip also stated, "In our relationships with our clients we strive to always put ourselves in our clients' shoes. If I were the client, what advice and recommendations would I want? What is the right thing to do for our client in a given situation, and not necessarily the easiest or most profitable for us? At the end of the day, our client relationships, customer satisfaction, and our integrity matter most."
If you or your organization have not yet benefitted from the expertise of the SNBS staff, please take your concerns to Ken Saxe, MCSE, MCSA, MCP, CNE at 717-757-6999 or 800-745-8233, or send him an email by using the form below.
Along with the many technical services they offer, SNBS provides Internet and website consulting srvices. Ken is also the co-host of the Technology Trust podcasts. Ken's blog is available at http://www.kensaxe.com/. |
