ANOTHER ACCOLADE FOR YOUNGEST GRASSI PARTNER ROB GROTE

Rob Grote, a Partner at Grassi & Co., has always donated his time to help his community and has served as a mentor to his colleagues and peers at the firm. Rob recently expanded his involvement in the community by joining the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Chapter of the American Red Cross. This is only the most recent of Rob's philanthropic and professional achievements.  He was named to Long Island Business News' 40 Under 40 for 2008 earlier this year.  Rob was asked to join the board to lend his knowledge, expertise, and support. "The American Red Cross provides families with extensive assistance when in need," Grote said. "It is an honor to join such a prestigious organization that touches so many people's lives."

At the firm, Rob provides expert guidance to clients in internal control assessment, fraud prevention and investigation, cash flow and budget planning and projection, acquisition or lending due diligence, and employee benefit plan development. Since beginning his career in 1993, he has served clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing & distribution,  not-for-profit, construction, real estate, and professional services. Rob is active in numerous industry trade organizations, such as the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), where he serves as a Board member, and the Subcontractors Trade Association.

Since 1917, the Nassau County Chapter of the American Red Cross has been helping Long Islanders prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Nassau County Chapter of the American Red Cross prepares for and responds to disasters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through its Disaster Action Team (D.A.T.). Always on call, D.A.T. volunteers provide disaster relief to meet the emergency needs of victims of house fires, hurricanes, storms, floods, transportation accidents, and man-made disasters.  Assistance needed by victims is evaluated by case workers and may include shelter, food, clothing, emotional support, household furnishings, prescriptions medication, and other critically needed items.
