In memory of one of the founding partners of SantosPostal, Angelo Santos, the company will participate in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Light the Night" walk on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Rockville Town Center in Rockville, MD. Calling themselves "Angie's Angels", the SantosPostal entourage will take the 2-mile night-time hike around the streets of Rockville, celebrating Angie's life and helping others with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. SantosPostal's goal as a team is to raise $8,000 to commemorate the life of Angelo.

In its 10th year of annual "Light the Night" tributes across the country, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has raised funds for the top world's researchers to establish better therapies and find cures for these diseases. Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer death among children and young adults under the age of 20, and although significant strides in research have been made over the past 40 years with survival rates doubling and even tripling in some cases, the number of Americans diagnosed with blood cancers continues to grow. The need for research funding is greater than ever. This Montgomery County portion of the "Light the Night Walk-Making a Decade of Difference" event will begin at 5:30 p.m., starting with a remembrance ceremony and concluding with live music and refreshments.
