Certified Risk Professional Shawn M. Schreck has been named a Compliance Services Manager with the Stambaugh Ness Risk Advisory Team.

 

Shawn has extensive banking industry experience including the following:

  • As a consultant, Shawn has developed Compliance Management Programs by recommending appropriate policies and procedures and performing regulatory and technology audits.
  • As a "Banker", Shawn has had responsibility for all Compliance functions and Physical/Electronic Security for institutions ranging in size from $300M to $2.5B.
  • His experience includes managing compliance activities for multi-charter bank holding companies.
  • His previous corporate titles include: BSA Officer, CRA Officer, OFAC Officer, Chief Information Systems Officer, and Compliance and Security Officer.
  • Shawn has also served as a Loan Review Officer where he has examined loan portfolios for potential performance weaknesses and/or documentation deficiencies and recommended corrective measures to reduce or eliminate potential losses.

A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Shawn has attended various industry training schools. His CRP designation covers all areas of Operations and Compliance.

He has instructed courses in Law in Banking Applications, Law and Banking Principles, Money and Banking, Principals of Banking, and Supervision Courses for the Pennsylvania Development Network, which is a part of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.

Shawn is a member of the IT Compliance Institute and is a former member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Security Council.

Shawn is active in a variety of community organizations.
