No Sales Tax in Your State? You Still Get a Tax Break

As you've probably heard, the latest economic stimulus law created a tax break for some taxpayers who buy a new passenger vehicle this year. They can deduct state and local sales and excise taxes paid on the purchase on their 2009 tax returns next year. But what about states where there is no state sales tax? The IRS announced that taxpayers in those states are entitled to a special tax break. Here are the details.
