PA Ramping Up Compliance on Unclaimed Property Reporting

Did you know that any organization holding unclaimed property must file an unclaimed property report with the Pennsylvania Treasury Department each year, even if they have no property to report?  The Treasury Department can assess penalties and interest to those who fail to file; however, this year you are in luck!  Businesses that come into compliance by April 17, 2007 are being granted an amnesty from penalties if they are filing a report for the first time.  Read on for more details.
