Considering the Top Ten Verdicts for 2007 to be revealed soon, according to Lawyers Weekly (LawyersUSA), it is interesting to note those identified for 2006. For the second year in a row, the nation's largest verdicts to individual plaintiffs had fallen dramatically. The 2006 total is one third of the total for the previous year, which was half the total of the year before. Some observers point directly to tort reform.

Jurors Ask Questions: New Rule

Under new jury rules that go into effect on Jan. 1 in Florida, jurors will be allowed to ask questions of witnesses in criminal and civil trials. The ability to submit questions is the most controversial of several jury reforms recently approved by the Florida Supreme Court.

More than 40 production vehicles have laminated glass in side and rear windows, as well as roof applications, as reported by the Enhanced Protective Glass Automotive Association (EPGAA).

Laminated glass has become a mainstream technology in the automotive industry, appearing on 36 vehicle platforms in North America today, compared to three platforms worldwide five years ago.
