Economic Census Forms are Due February 12

The U.S. Census Bureau has reminded millions of U.S. businesses that time is running out for returning 2007 Economic Census forms. There were 5,700 forms distributed in the York-Hanover Metropolitan area. Businesses that received forms are required by law to respond.

PA's Business Use Tax Voluntary Compliance Program Completes First Phase

 
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue
is nearing completion of the first phase of its Business Use Tax Voluntary Compliance Program. The campaign focuses upon increasing taypayers' awareness of reporting and paying this tax. So far, $24 million has been collected.

The department has contacted many businesses by mail for voluntary review and disclosure of unreported PA Use Tax, as detailed in the Full Article.
