E-Postcard Filing Now Available for Small Tax-Exempt Organizations

The Internal Revenue Service announced the launch of a simple electronic filing system that small tax-exempt organizations may use to comply with a new law requiring them to file an annual return. Previously, small tax-exempt organizations were not generally required to file the annual information returns for tax-exempt organizations. However, because of the formation of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, certain tax-exempt organizations are now required to file an electronic Form 990-N. Read on for more information.
