Pennsylvania Senate Approves Measure to Reduce Number of Tax Collectors

 
Pennsylvania senators overwhelmingly approved Senate Bill 1063
that will "streamline the collection and disbursement of local earned income tax (EIT)." The bill will introduce a countywide collection system, reducing local tax collectors from 560 to 66, according to supporters.

The Full Article notes the Bill now moves into the House Finance Committee.
