IRS Imposes New Reporting Requirements on Not-for-Profits

The IRS is paying more attention to not-for-profits following reports of some organizations paying excessive compensation to certain directors, participating in tax shelter schemes and engaging in other improper transactions. As a result, the tax agency has increased the reporting requirements for IRS Form 990, which must be made available to anyone from the general public upon request.
