Scammers are at it Again!

Here they go again! The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) cautions taxpayers to be on the lookout for a new wave of scams using the IRS name in identity theft e-mails, or phishing, that have circulated during the last two months. The most common scams involve tax refunds and, this year, economic stimulus payments. Most of these scams consist of e-mails requesting detailed personal information. Read on for more information about these new scams so you can be sure to avoid them.

PA Online Access for Individuals

Pennsylvania now offers an online interface that allows taxpayers to have access to their department of revenue account.  On this new interface, taxpayers are able to view their current year personal income tax return, make their current year tax return payment, and make changes to their personal income tax account, among other things.  This should prove to be a very useful tool to benefit the taxpayer.  Read on for more details.
