HR Updates
The second of the three scheduled minimum wage increases will go into effect on July 24, 2008. Minimum wage will increase from $5.85 per hour to $6.55 per hour.
Effective July 1, 2008 the IRS increased the optional business standard mileage rate to 58.5 cents per mile for the remainder of 2008. The rising cost of gasoline was a contributing factor. For additional information, please visit http://www.irs.gov/.

As part of Dental Awareness Day on Friday, July 18th, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) invites you to submit questions at the SmileLine online! Allison Aront has joined LBMC Employment Partners' Chattanooga office as a Business Development Associate.
Most recently she was Assistant to the Dean of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga College of Business. She previously worked in business development for LBMC Employment Partners' Brentwood office, before relocating to Chattanooga.
This month we would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to one of our Business Development Associates, Brooke Thurman.
Brooke began her career with LBMC Strategic Staffing in 2004 and has worked in both the Brentwood and Knoxville offices. She moved to her current role with LBMC Employment Partners in November 2007.
