Our first installment in our Private Client Services Corner focuses on managing the cost of higher education within your overall estate plan.  Most people have either heard of or funded a 529 college savings plan. 529 plans are a great way for most people to put away money for their child or grandchild's education while taking advantage of the beneficial tax treatment these plans offer. New IRS Website for Small Businesses and the Self-Employed

The Internal Revenue Service has recently added a page to its website for small businesses and the self-employed.  The new page provides links to information on the most common issues new business owners face and is part of the IRS's campaign to help educate new self-employed small-business owners about their federal tax responsibilities.  Read on for more information and for a link to the new page.

2008 Business of the Year Awards
