...Oops...My Mistake...

One of our diligent readers has brought to my attention a slight omission from our May 16, 2007 Footnotes article on Property Tax Relief. The 2008 freeze in the growth of property tax levies applies ONLY TO LAKE COUNTY TAXING UNITS, unless a 1% local income tax is adopted for property tax relief by July 31, 2007. Please accept my apologies. We will begin publishing a series of articles addressing the changes from this year's General Assembly beginning with our next issue.
