"The Mission of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® is to meet the real estate challenges of the present and future; enhance and promote REALTOR® members’ professionalism; provide quality services; and encourage involvement in our communities."
The Williamson County Association of REALTORS' new building is on its way! Construction trucks can already be found moving dirt at 123 Old Settlers Blvd., the future home of WCAOR.
WCAOR Industry Awards
Do you know of someone that really stands out as an industry leader? It is nearly time to award those individuals who stand out as industry leaders in our association. We are currently seeking nominations for REALTOR of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Affiliate of the Year and anyone who may be eligible for a Distinguished Service Award.
At the conclusion of every year, the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® holds an Installation and Awards Banquet. At this banquet the new members of the WCAOR Board of Directors are installed and the Industry Awards are presented.
It's that time again! Our annual Christmas Tree Gala, where you are able to give back to your community and help the Association raise funds for graduating Seniors in Williamson County. For those of you who have participated in the past, we thank you and hope you will donate another beautiful item again this year. For those who are new or have not participated in this event, please consider donating a decorated item for our silent and live auction. Be sure to
click here for a list of specifications for you to keep in mind when decorating your items. You can also download the submission form that must be filled out with every entry by clicking here. That's right, you can submit more than one item. We will again this year be judging the entries and providing ribbons. Join in the excitement and help your Association raise enough funds that we might be able to provide more than five scholarships next year. In the words of one of our recipients "I am very grateful for the assistance of my college expenses. I know I will put the money to good use. THANK YOU".
...is the theme for the 2008 Installation & Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 11th at 6:00 p.m. at The Marriott La Frontera 2600 La Frontera Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78681 512-733-6767. In addition to the 2009 directors being installed, there will be a number of awards presented at the banquet: REALTOR of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Affiliate of the Year.
Anyone applying for or renewing a broker or salesperson license on or after January 1, 2008 must get fingerprinted in connection with the application. Fingerprints are required so that the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) can conduct a criminal history check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). A criminal history check will be conducted on every applicant for a license and every time a real estate salesperson or broker license is renewed. Once fingerprints are on file with DPS, a licensee will not need to be fingerprinted for subsequent renewals.
